This website tells you about some of the things that are happening in our community you are encouraged to be part of through Salisbury Communities for Children.
The Communities for Children initiative is funded by the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs www.fahcsia.gov.au, happening in 45 groups of suburbs throughout Australia. There are 5 of these in South Australia and we are one of them.
We started with First Steps Playtime 3 days per week at the Ingle Farm Salvation Army, then developed the FamilyZone Zone Hub at Ingle Farm Primary where most of our team is based and have also opened FamilyZone Para Hills.
As well as establishing these community centres for young families we are working on a number of other exciting initiatives for children in our community you can find out about on this site. More recently we also began working with 6-12 year olds through our Primary Schools Initiative
If you would like to be part of what is happening you are very welcome to come, have a look and become more involved in making our community a better place for children.
